What if I found love again
Should I have given everything
Would it have been enough
Could it be that special something.

What if we had been closer
Should I have pulled up stakes
Would that have been wise
Could that be what it takes.

What if others didn’t agree with us
Should I have said it doesn’t matter
Would it have been the right thing
Could I give you life on a platter.

What if that was our time to shine
Should there be any time to regret
Would love outweigh the fallen tears
Could it be something we can’t forget.

Gray — this is stunning as usual. I love the way you used the words from the prompt to begin each line…just brilliant!

Nice work, “Would love outweigh the fallen tears” if it doesn’t then it isn’t the right kind of love, maybe it isn’t even love in the first place. I really enjoyed this piece!
