The witching hour is upon us
All the plans are set for tonight
Let those brats step onto my porch
And I’ll give them such a big fright.
Oh you say I am much too crass
I tell you that I am just getting old
They come for the candy without a care
Not listening to the stories I’ve told.
Of bones being buried from years gone by
Of vampires, goblins, witches and bats
How if they don’t be careful and watch
I’ll cast a spell calling all black cats.
Let them eat their candy all this night
Hang their costumes up for another time
Hear the screeches and moaning of shadows outside
And give me reason to write more rhyme.
Happy Halloween…. bwaaahhhhaaaahhhaaaa
