Color Me

Some times we think of colors and how they relate to people
Often we find we get caught up with thoughts and emotions
How can we deal with the word and the color, let’s imagine:

Giving – can be thought of the color gold
Often we find giving makes us want to hold
This can be such a welcome emotion to share
We need to understand some just don’t care.

Openness – can be thought of the color pink
Being there for everyone can make us think
But when we are open to those undeserving
It can leave us hurt and always wondering.

Needing – can be thought of the color blue
Wishing to find that love that will be so true
Knowing there are those that carelessly hurt
When saying one thing as they carelessly flirt.

Emotional – can be thought of the color red
Never knowing if we trust the words being said
The heart can believe what it wants to believe
Leaving us to love, stress, cry, laugh or grieve.

As each feeling flows across the parts of our mind
All we can do it try to interpret and see its light
As I let the hues flow, I just let it color me gone…
