Morning Routine

Whether you hear an alarm go off or not
At some point, we all start a new day
Maybe some are bubbly and ready to smile
Some, before coffee, have little to say.

Each of us has some kind of morning routine
Those little things that help us get going
We wash, brush and take care of other needs
Try to get moving and have a smile showing.

Of course it is always easier with a day off
A day to relax and have some time to recharge
A few minutes to put life into perspective
Plan our day so our tasks won’t seem so large.

Try not to imagine all of life’s challenges
Each day gives us plenty of things to handle
Take the cares of the day, work one at a time
Each night, put them away like blowing a candle.
