Quiet solitude as the snow gently falls
Frost forms on the window, nature’s art
Cold fingers tracing patterns on the glass
Using memories to help warm the heart.
Like the blanket of snow on the ground
Covering to hide what lies underneath
Too often we disguise feelings we have
Often questions make us grit our teeth.
At times we all bear up under hard times
Yet as Winter comes around in its season
Life’s challenges too will pass in due time
We can smile again, just look for a reason.
Spring might come when we least expect
All we can do is wait, warm days to share
With flowers, plants and the humming birds
Lift our heads and know someone will care.
A Beautifully sighing lyric 🙂 Just Lovely!
I used to draw patterns onto car windows and your poem brought back this fond memory.
Made me smile to know I wasn’t the only artistic one drawing in frost…
Yet something in this got me recalling, O, wind, if winter comes, can spring be far behind? – Percy Bysshe Shelley
The power of your words, Charles.
