Chasing Rainbows

rainbow

All the colors that we love
Dreaming of where it goes
What is found at each end
I’ve not found one that knows.

Yet when chance one to see
A rainbow brings us a smile
For we know it brings sunshine
Even across so many a mile.

But do we chase them inside
Believing they might exist
Are we fooling only our self
If looking, we seem to persist.

I guess we all need a hope
Something to reach out for
So when you chase a rainbow
If you feel it, try to make sure.

  1. It’s interesting, isn’t it, how we try to fool our selves, as though we can really do that… yet we keep trying. Your poem really made me think about this.
