Merry Christmas

For all my Christian friends, best wishes for this special time of the year.

It isn’t about the twinkling lights or the presents
Nor is it about the music that fills all the stores
We place so much stress on people and pockets
We are inundated in wrapping and cooking chores.

Maybe we need to remember why we are here
Time to believe the greatest gift we’ve been given
That one loved us all so much and gave of his life
While myriads of angels look down from heaven.

Be thankful that each day we wake and can feel
For the beauty around us, family and each friend
Cherish the children, full of life and innocence
For we never know when our time here will end.

I want to wish all that read, my wish for this day
That my peace, hope, joy and love will be shared
That even if I’ve wronged you or caused you pain
You know that above all, in my heart I have cared.
