Self-Imposed Exile

When you think too much
When words seem to rile
Time to just become quiet
Into self-imposed exile.

Feelings are so important
A heart can so fragile be
Better to safeguard both
Hiding your own, not to see.

Time can heal many wounds
Both physical and emotional
I pray that emotions calm
With love hearts become full.

Holidays each year come, go
Friendships too can fade
Special loves should be held
In them dreams are made.
