Lyrics to Forget

Ever have a song you can’t forget
One with so much emotion inside
You had to sing along to hear it
Now it just makes you want to hide.

How do we give up on shared dreams
When one person just can’t remain
Do you learn new songs to replace
So that you can try to seem sane.

Everyone is affected by some song
Whether we tap, hum or sing aloud
It would be nice if we could simply
Cover a special one in a shroud.

Time heals all wounds, so its said
But music reminds us all too often
Try to find even a reason to smile
Blink your eyes often until then.
