Silence

Silence can be deafening at times
Our brain struggles to make sense
Why life treats us the way it does
How are we in this circumstance.

Some listen to yelling and crying
Those emotions cause us such pain
Too often leaving us empty inside
And in the end, little did we gain.

Some can talk out their problems
See a chance to improve and grow
Knowing that it’s a two-way street
Understanding the love they show.

Silence leaves too much unresolved
Usually because neither one will bend
And when you aren’t on the same path
Most times, things just come to an end.

  1. Silence is not golden. Such true words.

  2. Kelly says:

This resonates. What a great, sad poem.

  3. I love the image. So often some would rather stew in silence than speak their truths.
