Little Words

IMG_0291.JPG

Take a dictionary and look around
So many little words to contemplate
On their own they might just spell
Together they live, love, laugh, hate.

Some people can’t put them together
Others seem to easily let them flow
Too many struggle to use very many
How many words do you even know.

String them along and they can sing
They can soothe with their melody
Those same words can tell a story
Page after page, everyone can see.

Occasionally they combine in a line
I put little words together at times
They may give a glimpse of my life
My mind often puts them in rhymes.
