Where Do You Look

They say it is easier to look back
To see the mistakes we’ve made
As long as we try to learn from it
Nothing seems to need repaid.

But too often we just don’t learn
We repeat the choice over again
Not a conscious thing we look at
Just something we wonder when.

When we realize the wrong course
We strive to improve and change
Not always easy to find a new path
At times, our mind we rearrange.

If we get on the straight and narrow
Instead of looking in the rearview
We can look through the windshield
Although not easy to just start anew.
