In One Word

What is the word for the feeling
You feel aimless, lost your drive
You’re going through the motions
Wondering if you’re really alive.

Engulfed in a sense of wandering
Nothing seems to matter much
Is there a word that explains this
Empty, listless, as if out of touch.

Walking around as though in a fog
Your eyes are open, just don’t see
Others seem to be making remarks
You wonder “Are they talking to me”.

I guess we all have a time we recall
Thinking we just had it all figured out
Looking back at the mess we had made
Describe it in one word, what to shout?
