If I Could

If things I enjoy I could also share
I’d send them to you, here to there
You could accept them if you desire
No return or payment would I require.

If I could share the rain we’ve had
I’d share enough, but not make it bad
I wouldn’t want to flood your ground
It is so nice to sleep to the sound.

If I could send you some of our sun
Only enough so that days were fun
I’d thing of you going out to play
Thought of laying out to catch a ray.

I wouldn’t share our cold or our snow
I don’t care for it, as you may know
I wouldn’t share our leaves from fall
As you probably don’t need them all.

If I could I’d share a hug, real tight
At times it just seems to be so right
I’d hold you close with a tender kiss
If only I could share things like this.
