Make a Note

It has been too long since I have contributed to FWF, so I hope to get back on track… Thank you Kellie for keeping the prompts coming. I hope any who take the time to read will visit Kellie’s blog and enjoy the other contributions:

If a piano sits in the forest
A lone figure with fingers set
If he were to play a concerto
No one to hear, would he regret?

Like that piano, I sit quietly alone
In a forest of self examined thought
So many emotions seeking to overwhelm
Yet solitude is all is has brought.

Is it physical or emotional pain
That brings us to separate ourself
Shutting out those that care so much
Only to put our life on a shelf.

What good is a piano in a forest left
Beautiful music played, even so remote
How much better to be with loving friends
Let feelings be heard, just make a note.
