Lighter Load

We’ve all had things pile up
Life’s challenges in abundance
But seldom do I get so many
Coming upon me all at once.

It’s not like we can avoid things
When our stars seem to align
So lean on friends or your God
And most things will go fine.

There is only so much we do alone
When emotions and tears flowed
Accept the help and shoulder lent
Knowing it will lighten your load.

Like most it has taken me years
To accept I can’t do it all alone
With all my challenges of late
I trust my path will be known.
