Thinking of all that you do in life
From younger years where you are today
Do you see the person you have become
Could you improve yourself in some way.
Each of us are given only so many days
What we make of that time is our legacy
What we gave, not what we took from others
Is more important than the words we say.
Do we look at another’s life and wonder
Should we have lived or loved another way
If only we would have done this or that
Is their life better, how can one say.
If we spend our time thinking what might be
Looking at others, as if to them we compare
We’ll lose track of the course our life takes
And then we might not realize, we are there.
