Feeling or Knowing

Making decisions from the heart
Not a science, but more an art
Can you separate from the mind
Or are they both the same kind.

Often our hearts tells us what to do
Yet we examine through and through
Can we stand by the decisions made
Or do we feel an obligation to be paid.

The heart can lead us in such a way
Leaving us with nothing left to say
We are left hurt or feeling crushed
Because to another’s arms we rushed.

A heart is treacherous, who can know
Left on your sleeve the heart will show
You protect yourself or at least try
Yet another can still make you cry.
