Each Day

Is there one day better than another
We have so many special days to share
Mother, Father, Veteran and those gone
Which one shows the most that we care.

Wedding, birth, graduation or death
Each of us remembers dates to remember
Some we plan, other we try to forget
A few we make a point to get together.

Some are for family, it effects us all
Some we try to be alone, not share tears
A few are just shared with any around
Maybe a day that brings out our fears.

But really shouldn’t we try to just see
Each day as special, a gift we’re given
For whatever we have, we have our life
A chance to do better, our past forgiven.
