With A Homonym Or Two

Lettuce not think that we are alone
If we see things beyond our reach
We organize our thoughts in a row
Even if they are fuzzy like a peach.

If someone is the apple of our eye
Make sure they know how we feel
If they’re left hanging like a banana
To them our feelings won’t be real.

Plant the seeds of love and water
Don’t just offer them a carrot of hope
For if you don’t let emotions sprout
They might feel no reason to cope.

One alone is like a leftover grape
Often ignored to just whither away
It takes to and then you’re a pear
Now I have nothing more to say.
