Unexpected Smile

walk in rain

The rain came fell slowly as he walked
Cold as it found its way around his collar
Overcast sky trying to reflect his mood
Quiet with just an internally held holler.

Family and friends always seem to help
Thoughts of loss mixed with future hope
So many things to be thankful for in life
Maybe rain hiding tears, just a way to cope.

Then the memory seemed to come alive
Of the moments shared, so real, bright
Years of love when two souls combine
Rays of sunlight, warmth on a dark night.

Maybe the rain or the gloom are needed
To remind of things that have taken place
Life is to be cherished, used for some good
Never let memories leave your special place.

I agree with the last verse…
though sometimes I would like to just stay on an even keil for more than a few moments
wonderful thoughts flowing with emotional waves once again….beautiful…
    Take Care…You Matter…
