So many thoughts to process it’s scary
The beauty this day holds is so grand
Surrounded family and so many friends
Waiting to fully take another’s hand.

The excitement is shared by everyone
Two lives that have joined at the heart
Finding that they complete each other
This day married life together they start.

We can hope for the best seeing their love
Yet fully aware of all the challenges to come
Putting the needs of the other in first place
Not always easy, too much to commit for some.

They’ll put off the blinders of their initial date
No longer any secrets or holding back thought
For if they don’t share their inner most self
Who can say if this union can make it or not.

Always give of yourself without fear of doubt
Don’t seek others when together you should talk
Two hearts that meet and melt together as one
Gives a purpose when the same path they walk.

Cherish the wife that you’ve chosen to have
Likewise respect the husband that you choose
Two together can share even such a heavy load
Remember this day, this love don’t ever lose.

  1. Annie's Muse says:

Oh Gray — I loved every word — but most especially:
Cherish the wife that you’ve chosen to have
Likewise respect the husband that you choose
Two together can share even such a heavy load
Remember this day, this love don’t ever lose.

  3. Thank you for the share. As Annie pointed out the ending, very strong.
