Cooper

The 17-year-old son of a workmate lost his battle with brain cancer 5/5/2013. He was a remarkable young man.

Looking at the loss of one so young
At the things he did for others he met
With all that he was fighting on his own
No thought of giving up did he ever get.

He fought this battle for several years
The treatments, surgery and recovery
Yet he thought of others worse than he
A gentleman as brave as any you’ll see.

Spare time was spent playing his guitar
In public for tips that he might then share
Donated to the hospital for others young
For anything they might need while there.

While one is never ready to accept the time
This was one special man who touched many
Of course there will be time for the grief
But of good memories there will be plenty.
