When Fingers Fail

Virtual Love

This world has become a smaller place
For we are connected to so many around
By this age of expanding technology
Befriending, never walking the same ground.

With all the words and images that are sent
We build an image of who we have met
We keep some, lose some and others reject
Some we hope to bring even closer yet.

Emotions are the one missing thing we have
For we read in the words what we hope to feel
With those close, we are confident we’re right
That the feelings we share are warm and real.

But for all the words and things that transpire
At times we turn and figuratively tuck our tail
For whatever reason things take a wrong turn
And we pull away wondering, when fingers fail.

that was nicely written. I have been going through some difficult moments with my brother. Sorry I have not been around as much. I don’t feel the laughs right now
