Dim The Lights

Three words that cause many thoughts
Dim the lights
Could be an innocent action
By all rights.

Maybe alone settling in for the night
Dim the lights
Quiet time to reflect on the day
Inward sights.

Maybe a drive in the country air
Dim the lights
Oncoming traffic deserves respect
Turn off brights.

Maybe feelings stirred and shared
Dim the lights
Two sharing a twisted path
Quiet nights.
