Sleeves

We dress for all kinds weather
Sometimes it’s to be cold or warm
Governing the length of our sleeve
Maybe it’s above or covering the arm.

It compliments our taste in clothes
It can assist us in other ways too
Whether we’re wiping a wayward nose
Or cleaning up a child’s cheeks too.

At times a sleeve can be just symbolic
The place that we carry our longing heart
While true that many try to take a piece
We still place it there, hoping for a start.

Not thinking of long-sleeved, mid or short
Many still offer their heart for a while
Take care if you reach, for what is there
Reflects also on your own sense of style.
