Friends No More

He knew by her breathing she was asleep
The night had been full of life and love
There was a passion burning that each felt
And their bodies fit together like a glove.

What had started as a friendly night out
Had become a moment in time they’d share
The friendship known from many conversations
Had finally shown just how much they did care.

Now as he lay watching her in peaceful sleep
He wondered if she knew how much he thought
Of moments both shared and some he only hoped
Never letting on that her love he had sought.

He reached to gently move the hair from her eyes
She stirred and rewarded him with such a smile
His fingers paused to caress and to reassure
That if she wanted he’d walk with her many a mile.

Beautiful, very beautiful. Sounds like you have found a lady that makes you happy.

  2. Either ways, dream or reality, it is beautifully written, sir. Looking forward to the next!
