Children

What greater gift could we have
Than the love given by a child
We cherish them as they grow up
Whether innocent, shy, bold or wild.

The love of a child is easy to see
How open they are with their mind
There should never be a reason for anyone
To treat a child in a way other than kind.

True they at times give us time to reflect
Maybe they stay home from school feeling ill
We comfort them, feed them and take the care
Concerned but watchful, loving them still.

They reflect what they see from example
So try to give them one they can proud of
If we remember to always mold them that way
We will share in their life, full of love.
