Love

So many words get used in everyday speech
I wonder how many words we should even teach
Love is a word that has such broad definition
Yet it can give us so much by way of emotion.

We love our car, our food, our clothes
We seem to love everything, who knows
We love weather, location and Facebook
We even love to eat, sleep, shower or cook.

Love is a word we use all through our life
Love for friends, family, husband or wife
Those are the true things that touch our heart
Those are the things we learn from the start.

Some make a game of how many they can love
They go from one to another like changing a glove
But once in a while someone special can appear
And that is the one you would love to be near.

Who knows how many times that love we will find
There is a difference between love and being kind
If you can’t seem to keep on from your thought
Maybe cupid’s arrow in your heart is caught.

Love is more than a word to be thrown about
Yes so many things are wanted without a doubt
But to find that love that leaves us wanting more
That is something you won’t find in any store.

  1. Nice. And I dare say I don’t use the word lightly. Even if just a word.
