Walk, Don’t Run

How do you decide what is best
When you know things are not right
What changes can you live with
To keep from feeling a fight.

At times you just need to make choices
Everyone has some that don’t seem fair
To let things go that we really want
Just to try to keep another there.

When we are growing up we are often told
You need to learn to walk before you run
Of course there are exceptions to this
But the consequences are not always fun.

So when you know that choices could hurt others
Maybe it is better to just be the one
To make the hard choices and feel the pain
And as you leave remember to Walk, Don’t Run.

Beautifully written as always; walk slow so you can be caught if need be
