A Whisper

To look around and see a smile
To feel the love that was shared
It gives a purpose to a lonely soul
It lets you know someone cared.

When it is taken for whatever reason
And you are left wondering why
Time seems as if it were standing still
Leaving that single tear in your eye.

So many questions could be asked
Why and what, Could I or Who
But in the end it doesn’t matter
The one that leaves, comes down to you.

So as a wisp of mist driven over the pond
Like something once precious, now not sure
Pick up your self and take the walk you need
And become as that ghost, like a fading Whisper.
