The Wind

There was a cold wind blowing
Not that it was felt tonight
With all the conflicts in his mind
There was little that felt right.

Could it be the end of the road
Was the truth too hard to see
After all that had been shared
Was the person between them to be.

With a sigh he turned it over again
All the words that had been said alone
There was no way to deny the feelings
Or the shared pain that was now shown.

So with the wind to hide the emotions
Darkness able to camouflage the tears
He walked on masking all of the anguish
No longer afraid to voice aloud his fears.

One Response to The Wind

  1. Phyllis Sears says:

I feel the pain in this one; wish I had some thoughts that would take all the pain away but know you aren’t ready for them so will be quiet and just share a tear. Hugs
