Time After Time

What makes us do the same things
Time after time we repeat the wrong
Like when you hear the same notes
But expect to sing a different song.

When we keep reliving the same thoughts
Even knowing how they always hurt a friend
Why do we think that it can turn our different
When the way we act we do not mend.

Two people talk about the same things
How in the end that path was not to be
Each thinks that they see the way out
But after a while its a repeat they see.

So when do you stop and find a change
When time after time both seem to forget
Until they once again hurt each other
Is it too hard to change the way they are set.

  1. You paint the masterpiece with your words again.
“What makes us do the same things
Time after time we repeat the wrong
Like when you hear the same notes
But expect to sing a different song.”

I wonder too why we fall for the same traps over and over again without ever learning, incredulously expecting a different outcome.

LOL. Thank you. I suffer from all the signs. I guess it is time I take my own words seriously and get my head straight. One day I will get things right, but until then, I vwill continue to write. Thank you as always for the comments and for reading my words.

We are human and not insane at all; we just things to be as we would love for them to be and that makes things difficult at times. We try try try and try again. But having the right love is worth the trying
