Graduates

They leave their schoolmates behind
Walking into a world with a future unsure
Books and teachers left behind as well
This passing leads to things holding lure.

The dreams of many are now taking shape
What will become of the days yet to come
Will they bring all the success promised
Or leave them with “Where did that come from?”

Maybe some will go on to new schools
Others to jobs plying their new trade
One working long hours to make ends meet
Another thinking he has it made in the shade.

No matter what is found in the future
We can all relate in the uncertainty
No matter what is made of the time
There will always be another day.
