Last Thoughts

I have wondered at times what was felt
When those who sail the oceans so blue
Happen to fall victim to disaster
When the moment comes and life is through.

We know of the television remake
Of the great Titanic loss of life
But how can we portray the anguish
Of losing husband, son, daughter or wife.

What of those thousands that are killed
In the terrible struggles on the seas
By the wars and the battles that rage
Who was there to hear all those pleas.

The sea can be such a peaceful place
Giving solace and so much joy to all
But for those left to spend a last breath
What is to be heard of their last call.

I can see this hanging on a wall somewhere…such a beautiful perspective and so poignantly rich. I read it twice in order to take time to really take in the things that you speak of and really tried to grasp those feelings which made it all the more emotional. Really nice write, friend. Happy to have you join us at FWF! Big hugs! xox

VERY DEEPLY FELT~ THERE’S NO TRAGEDY IN DEATH, IT IS A NECESSARY PART IN LIFES CYCLE. THERE IS ONLY TRAGEDY IN SIN, FRIEND ~ Wonderful Writing ~Deborah

  5. The last verse is a diamond in the entirely lovely writing you share in this post. I think about that quite a bit. I love the vastness of the seas yet I wonder, and fear. You write beautifully in every post, its amazing how it touches my heart all the time. Thank you, for the words you write and thoughts you share.
