The Truck

Some days we walk along
Lost in our own world it seems
Oblivious to how we affect others
Their perception, emotions or dreams.

And then along comes the Mack truck
Giving us insight that we hadn’t seen
Finding out the way someone feels
As if suddenly something removed a screen.

What we do once we are aware
Can change the course that we take
If you can’t accept that new information
Then you have a choice to make.

So as you get up from being run over
Take care of the way that you start
For the next steps that you take
Could make or break someone elses heart.

that Mack truck isn’t very particular about who it runs over, is it…

  2. Mira Jay says:

Why not to “wake” someone’s heart!

This is so beautiful and tells it all; we’ve all been there, done that. Sometimes we learn sometimes we don’t. You are so good at putting into words what is in our hearts
