A Ghost

Have you ever felt a presence
One that could not be seen
Felt so strongly at the time
Can you tell what it will mean.

There are times I feel it with me
As if I were standing hand in hand
The touch feels so all-encompassing
Almost makes it too much to stand.

So many emotions bottled up inside
I close my eyes and see the face
Even though I know it is dead and gone
It can still make my heart race.

Always easy for me to think too much
Not easy for me to ease my mind
I have to get up and move away
Anew start and memory to find.

Yes I have my friend; didn’t know whether to run or see a doc (LOL) It was so real and as you said all encompassing and makes me shiver to remember now. Beautiful poem; glad to see you writing again

  2. Never dead or gone, only crossed a viel that language calls death_ what you feel is the source of LOVE friend ~ a wonderful and sensitive poem! Deborah
