Lady Get Your Broom

I think at times of the images we see
In our mind as we hear others express a thought
Maybe it started as a joke or a taunt
Yet it sticks with us like taking a shot.

There was an old saying “Annie get your gun”
Just a quip from a movie that in my mind made room
It left me with a twist to the words now held
So I say to a friend “Lady get your broom”.

Some might raise a brow and wonder what I mean
Is she expected to sweep up a floor or a mess
Does she need to chase away a child or pet
Or maybe they just try to fathom a guess.

Well for this thought I leave you with images flying
For this topic came about like flipping a switch
For these ladies admitted the use of their broom
To straddle and take flight, just like a witch.

So…. Crazy Lou, grab your broom and smile.
