Memories Are There

The lilt in her voice always brightens my day
Just to hear the laugh and imagine her smiles
I could sit and converse and let the world pass by
Not a care would there seem across the miles.

The lift of her chin challenging the cares away
Shaking her head and letting the hair swirl around
Daring the day to disturb her tresses of red
Any cares that come her way will be tossed to the ground.

The light in her eye gives you the hint of a thought
You know the mischief that could be hiding inside
The tone of her voice and the sway of her hips
Let you know that someone could be in for a ride.

She seems to be a very special lady by all accounts
One that would be a pleasure to get to know
But you hold back your thoughts, let her see just enough
Knowing that it’s not your place the feelings to show.
