The Wait

As we go through our life searching for love
Ones will cross our path and touch our heart
What happens when we make a connection
One that we know is special at the start.

We spend the time to get to know this one
Feeling that there is no place we’d rather be
But what if there always seem to be some reason
I don’t seem to be as special as they are to me.

How long do you wait for this one to share your feelings
Can it be you expect more than you should
What if someone else has been trying to catch your eye
As if waiting to hold your heart, seeing if you just could.

Do you let the love that you feel pass away
And quit waiting for this one that can’t quite share
Taking the chance that the love for another might be enough
Hoping to lessen the pain of losing the one for which you care.

Very nice explanation for moving away from unrequited love.

  2. Wow, so true… some times you just have to rely on fate…
