The Stroll

A leisurely stroll seemed to be in order
So I called at the house and kissed her
I asked if she wanted to take a walk in the sand
She agreed and grabbed a coat, so I took her by the hand.

The sound of the gulls as they wheeled overhead
Just to make her smile I had brought some bread
Tossing the pieces high into the sky
I enjoy the sparkle from the fire in her eye.

The sound of the surf as it crashed on the beach
Brought joy to us both as I kept her in my reach
To share such moments will always be a memory shared
Knowing that every moment is a chance to show we cared.

There are never any reasons to let life pass by
You won’t know if there is something more if you don’t try
Whether a walk on the beach or a stroll as you take her to shop
If you find someone worth that moment in life, don’t ever stop.

yes we truly miss lots of special moments by letting life pass us by; just the simplest things bring special memories, special momemnts and those shared are the very best. Thank you for sharing this most special poem. You know how to put my thoughts in words for sure. Special hugs
