Reach Out

There are times when we have a friend
Or maybe a family member that feel depressed
How do you help them to see the value they possess
So that they know how much they would be missed.

Too many times we might feel something is wrong
And just not know how to help them feel alive
Trying to help them see how much they contribute
To the lives of those around and help them revive.

To imagine that someone could try to take their life
Isn’t that hard to imagine in this day and age
So many pressures of family, bills and even health
Gets us down and makes us feel we live in a cage.

To take such a permanent step to a temporary problem
Can leave such a void in the lives of more than we know
So if there is ever anything that can be done to help
I hope you know, at least this heart, is for more than show.

    Thank you Charles for subscribing.
What a coincidence. I posted today on a theme similar to your poem here > Closure.
    Peace, Eric

I loved this poem Charles and it means so much to me. I will share it on my wall now as its suicide prevention week.
