As we age, do we get any smarter
Or do we just fool ourselves that we are
It isn’t that we forget how to think
Maybe it is just that we go too far.
Too many assume that with the gray hair
Will be the wisdom to make the right choice
While many will be looked up to with reason
We al know some that can’t control their voice.
It has been said that we can grow older
Without the real need to ever grow up
For some that seems to be the truest of words
There is little question they stay a young pup.
One oar in the water, a few bricks shy of a load
An elevator that doesn’t go all the way to the top
There are many ways to say what we all seem to see
All you can do is scratch your head and just stop.
